PM for Communications and Policy Research Intern(Paid)

Internship period: 3-6 months
In this role, you will support the German Chamber’s communications team in all external communications, policy research and project management activities.
Tasks will consist in, but are not limited to:
Supporting the production of key Chamber publications
Provide research, statistical and analytical work on policy and economic developments
Actively supporting the organization, execution and follow-up of events (CSR, business workshops, conferences, Chamber Meetings, social and networking events and seminars) in Shanghai and the neighboring provinces
Communicating and coordinating with third party service-providers including event venue staff, event service companies (audio, photographer, etc.)
Coordinating the Chamber’s Corporate Social Responsibility project (including event preparation, research, preparing protocols)
Designing and generating content for the Chamber’s social media and communication channels (WeChat, LinkedIn and newsletter)
Carrying out other general communications and marketing tasks that may arise

Qualifications
Mandatory: Student at a Chinese University (X Visa) with the permission of the university to carry out an “off campus internship”
Excellent command of English (native or near-native level), good command of German and/ or Chinese is a plus
Strong command of the written word and an interest in current affairs and China business issues as they relate to German business
Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Majors: English, International Business, Chinese, Journalism, Media/PR, Marketing/Communications, International Relations, etc.)
Extremely detail-oriented
Solid MS Office skills a must
Cultural sensitivity and eagerness to work in an international environment
